The month of May saw relations between Bratislava and Vienna grow even closer. Bratislava mayor Andrej Ďurkovský welcomed Austrian president Heinz Fischer, Vienna mayor Michael Häupl and other distinguished Austrian guests aboard the new catamaran Twin City Liner. Discussions focused on the boom projected for the area between the two capitals, which is highlighted also by the international conference in May on urban and regional planning Real Corp in Schwechat. We will give you more information about it in an interview for Twin City Journal, together with possibilities of co-operation in our region, a region that will assume key importance on the “European map of innovation centres”.

Twin City Journal 04/2008 (30.3.2008)We associate April in Bratislava with weekends of good fun and pleasure from the city we live in. With the symbolic removal of the seal to the city gates, the “Bratislava for All” event will officially open. For the fifth time now we will have the chance to really enjoy our city. The doors will reopen also to the newly renovated Rococo style Apponyi House, with new expositions to be put on at these premises of Bratislava City Museum.
