Privacy Policy Declaration
With the aim of improving the content and usability of its web pages, the City of Bratislava automatically collects several types of information from users. This information concerns:
IP (Internet Protocol) addresses of users and internet service provider, or the user’s computer if it has an IP address assigned directly
Full domain name of your internet service provider, or your computer if it has a domain name assigned directly.
The date and time you visit the site.
Websites that were visited within the portal, as well as used applications, forms and data on forms.
The City of Bratislava uses this information to identify the performance requirements of the web portal, to ensure compatibility with the technology used by visitors to bratislava.sk and in general to supplement and improve the services that are provided by the City’s official website.
General data (other than personal) are grouped for the purposes of monitoring the usability, performance and efficiency of pages. Surveys serve to improve customer services, and the use and content of the web pages. Bratislava does not collect data for commercial or business purposes. The City does not sell, rent or in any other way provide collected data to third parties for commercial or business purposes.
Information submitted to the web portal bratislava.sk
When visiting, using or working with bratislava.sk, you can voluntarily provide the City with information. Among other ways this can be done by e-mail, by completing and submitting an electronic form, or by using the portal. This voluntarily provided information is saved in a secure environment and will be used by the City when fulfilling its obligations and/or liabilities toward its residents.

The City does not rent, sell or exchange the personal information of users with third parties in any way (i.e. name, address, telephone number, e-mail etc., which identifies the user as a concrete person) without the express consent of the user. The City does not provide information about credit cards or other personal financial and valid data, with the exception of information required to execute a transaction by credit card or other form if an electronic payment terminal is included, or at the express consent of the user in question. If you request bratislava.sk for more detailed information to be sent by the City, bratislava.sk will only send information from selected categories. If bratislava.sk sends you an e-mail, the e-mail is not confidential, and in essence it is identical to information that is generally available to the public.
In certain cases you have the possibility to receive or generate a password for the sake of access or for submitting personal information. Passwords should not be revealed to anyone and the City will never ask you for a password over the phone, by fax, e-mail or in any other non-standard form of communication. As soon as you end an application or password-protected application, you should log out of the said website. If a publicly accessible browser is used to access such password-protected pages, you should close all your work and where possible, erase all temporary caches or other places where the password might have been stored.
In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, and in an effort to maintain data accuracy and ensure the appropriate use of information, the corresponding physical, electronic and management procedures to protect and secure collected information have been put in place.
The web pages of the City do not generally use “permanent” cookies. “Cookies“ are little data packets or parts of larger files that are used to distinguish visitors to websites and to gather information during multiple visits to a website. The City uses “transient“ cookies on some parts of bratislava.sk, which do not remain stored on your hard disk once you have finished and closed the browser. If a user registers on the portal bratislava.sk, the City uses a permanent cookie to make the creation of this registered access easier.

This privacy policy declaration shall not apply to personal details that you decide to provide by way of websites of unaffiliated third parties. Before submitting personal information we recommend that you read the privacy policy of the particular organisation. Some organisations may decide to share your personal information with the City of Bratislava, whereby this sharing is governed by the privacy policy of the respective company.
The content of the bratislava.sk website is protected by copyright and contains pictures and graphics of some third parties, which are used with their permission. Their use in violation of legal regulations is prohibited. We must caution users that the permission of the copyright holder is required for the reproduction or other use of pictures/graphics from these web pages.

Hlavne mesto Slovenskej republiky Bratislava is operator of the website www.bratislava.sk (hereinafter referred to as "the pages"). All information provided on the pages are provided as a public service, and the operator reserves the right to change their content and structure at any time and also to update them without prior notification.
The operator makes every effort to ensure that the information provided on the pages are up-to-date, and therefore the pages are regularly updated and checked. However, the operator is unable to ensure at any time that the content of all the documents is accurate, correct and up-to-date. The author of the text mentioned at the bottom of each published document as a contact person along with his or her e-mail address shall be held responsible for the content.
